Hello everyone,
I’m looking for a budget headphone (<$75). I’ve been using a pair
of Bose on ear’s for a few years now and just want a around ear pair. I
will be using these for everyday things, youtube, music, movies/netflix
and gaming. I prefer closed as I don’t want to annoy others around me.
I was looking on amazon today and saw that the Pro5MK2 is on sale for
$65 and was wondering if anyone had experience using them or could
give me a solid overview/review of them…
Thanks for your input
Closed? Damn, do not know a ton of closed cans that are good. Tascam TH02 with Brainwavz HM5 pads, Takstar Pro80. If you can push a bit further you can get the NVX XPT100s, which are good enough to earn a true recommendation from me, not a forced one based on your budget and requirement for closed.
I have included a few open cans (including a very well regarded pair) below. Open headphones are not like speakers, unless you play it loud, the people around you are unlikely to be bothered. This is because of how close they are to your ear. Play music on your phone with the speaker about 3cm from your ear to get an idea of how loud they realistically get.
Philips SHP9500, Takstar Hi2050, Superlux HD668B with Hifiman Velour pads.
