OpenSuSE white borders?

Okay so on my laptop the screen keeps getting white borders, they look grainy and slowly take over the screen adding to this the system hangs I believe it's something to with my gpu but am I correct? If so how do I install and beta drivers into Opensuse?

This only happens on my laptop

Thanks in advance!

That's a very strange phenomenon, my friend, I would be seriously worried about that. Did you install anything funny by any chance?

Just leave OpenSuSE, if you want RPM go with Mageia, at least it has drakxconf, which is like the best thing ever if X is acting up for some reason. If you want speed, go with Manjaro or Sabayon, and try to keep your install untainted. It may not be as convenient, but I can assure you that untainted systems run much better. The only taint on my systems is mp3 support, which I need to be able to convert bought mp3's to ogg. I have no flash, only OpenJDK, etc... and my system flies.

yeah it is, scared the living shit out of me when it first happened, it launches the screen again, doesnt happen on my desktop though, which leads me to believe a GPU/OS issue, and no extras, its a bare system, installed it from the openSUSE net installer. also is there something like YaST on mageia? I know theres software centre but it does not seem to have as many options as YaST.

Also how do I run open source AMD drivers on Mageia, pref RadeonSI.
