Open-Source/More tweakable alternative to StoreMI

#1

Any recommendations? I’ve played with StoreMI a bit but I’m looking for a more robust solution. Preferably something I can tweak a bit more and have more tiers of storage.

ZFS? This allows for (L2)ARC read caching and a ZIL/SLOG that can help in certain writing scenarios (although it’s technically not a cache)

I need a Windows solution in this case.

Ah, didn’t see that Windows tag. My b. Is there anything specific about StoreMI that you would like to tweak?

There is a Program called PrimoCache, however, it is not a free program.

Can try tiered storage spaces, may even still work with Windows 10 although not officially supported

I don’t think that works on your C drive?

Sounds like you can’t. Only other option I can think of is run Windows in a VM backed by a caching solution like zfs, lvm, or bcache.
