Only have .deb, but need app for Manjaro?

Hello fellow teks,

I have a small issue, I am using manjaro and wish to install the application for my NAS that allows dropbox like features.

However, they only provide .rpm and .deb files. Does anyone know how I can get those to install properly, or a guide on how to make a pkgbuild that uses the .deb files, if that is even possible?

Note: They do not offer source code, at least not that I can find.

Debtap: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=187558

I tried to install that, but it won't install, says invalid url and I don't quite understand the pkgbuild file to edit it correctly.

how can I run debtap -u without it being installed?

"You must run at least once (preferably recently) "debtap -u" to create/update pkgfile and debtap database (you do this with root privileges)."

Use the AUR. Search there and you will find your app.

old versionit does not have the version i need. only the older version and they( manufacture ) has closed off the urls for the files.

Ask on the ArchLinux IRC.

No matter what you do DO NOT SAY YOU'RE ON MANJARO. You will just be ignored. Just say you're on arch and ask them for help. If you can stay hidden someone will probably port it if they get to thinking about it (had it happen 2 times now).

I'll look into the irc tomorrow. thanks

I agree on the IRC. I hate that they blackball you if you use Manjaro or Antergos

did you try hitting N for that option?

after using n for that and the next option it finally ends here.

Isn't this what you are looking for?

Oh shit, you found it. What did you search for? When I looked for cloudstation only the old version showed up. guess i should have also looked for synology as well. Now I feel dumb normally I'm much better at searching for things then this.
