So, as the title suggests my games simply wont pick up the 360 controller. I have heard other people with this problem but others the PC wont pick it up because of drivers or something else. However my PC picks up the controller. In the device manager I can go to the controllers calibration settings and windows recognizes the controllers movements.
I have the latest drivers installed and I have had this problem since windows 8 and 8.1 and am quite annoyed at it after upgrading to Win 10 and the problem is still here. I can press the big X button and the new xbox game bar will pop up and I can navigate the menu with the controller.
I have also tried using Steam Big Picture mode and all the buttons work and I can navigate through the menu's in that.
However as soon as I launch a game it just seems as if the PC can't pickup the controller. I have tried as others have suggested moving it to a USB 2 instead of a 3 port still to no avail, as well as try different driver versions and as I said I am currently running the latest version.
Any ideas?
