Doesnt look very good to me. Deal breakers abound. Oneplus3 hype :)

Nice video, really more in depth than the other I've seen. You forgot to talk about the batteries, i heard it was solder in it, true ? This and the micro sd is really what will make me stick to my G4.

Yeah I'm tempted to upgrade from my oneplus one. It has served me very well despite some volume issues it had when I first got it. I think if I do get it I'll flash the ROM and put Cyanogenmod on it. Don't like the price of the accessories but all in all it looks like a decent deal.

good review as usual :D but ive seen on xda they moaned about the 6GB ram not being fully utilized and oneplus had released a statement stating why and that they did it to help with battery life

And now I just need money for it...

No MicroSD card slot is a deal breaker for me. Shame. Could have been a potential customer.

Logan you should go get a OTG adapter, plug it in and test that out. You can get some VERY small ones and it be nice to know how well it works with that phone. Still it would have been better if they just included it in a sideslot somewhere.

I have the OnePlus1 16GB thing which has been ran over or something, still works, the autofocus thing is insanely out of control but with Open Camera software I'm able to manual control it so that's ok. I hope they work on improving quality under low light conditions, the OnePlus1 I have needs a FCKTONNE of backlighting to get a good image indoor (I have 2x50W LED's coming, hope that's enough!)

Cyanogenmod(3.1) IMO isn't that great, I'm forced to use OpenCamera to get access to basic features.

This will probably be my upgrade from my Galaxy S5. Sucks that there isn't a micro SD card slot....

Nope. Looks beautiful but I need my SD slot. I have a 128GB SD for a reason. Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe for me.

I'd say your better off waiting for intels core M phablets to hit the market.

Price- great specs - good no sd card and no removable battery that there is a deal breaker. I currently use a devolper edition note 4, still love it, and will only give it up for a phone that has both of these features. Coming from over eight years working in retail selling phones these are non-negotiable for me.

I'm on a OnePlus One right now. I usually upgrade every 2 years but I may extend it this time around. The OPO is still going strong for me, but I may upgrade to a 3 in November. I want to see what Google does in the mean time.

My only concerns with the OP 3 are the size and battery life. Although, it seems like with the new charging technique the way you charge the phone will be different. instead of charging once at night you may top it up at a few different times throughout the day as needed. The 5.5" screen on the OPO is a bit big for me, I was hoping for a 5-5.2" screen for my next phone. Maybe Google will do something like that for the Nexus 5x successor.

No MicroSD slot is a dealbreaker for me as well. Otherwise, it looks like one hell of a phone especially considering the price.

Also, that backdrop looks veeerrry similar to Joanne Tech Lover's usual set.

Been using the OnePlus One for a year now and have loved it thoroughly, but the Three looks like enough of an upgrade to justify picking one up. I did just order so I'll be sure to post a review or write up once I play with it for a week or so :3

rip, been skipping The Tek for a bit now

Nice review, as always. Thanks Logan.

I know a lot of people like to take pictures with their phone.
I know a lot of people like to play lots of games on their phone.
I know some people want to smart connect their phone tho stuff with NFC.
..... I don't.

So all the features setting this phone or any other flagship apart from something like my OnePlus X are irrelevant to me. Personally I like the 5" AMOLED of my phone. I had bigger phones, I had smaller phones, 5" is perfect for me. And AMOLED all the phones! Never going back to LED displays.
So that is one plus in my books. (that hurt so bad...)

No SD-card..... ASSHOLES!
Honestly, everyone could list the perfect specs for a phone these days except phone makers.... retarded.
But whatever, I won't buy anyway. ... still stupid.

They could have really shook the market with this one especially for the price. But it seems like they just don't want to make the perfect phone. They could, easily. And even if it were a tiny bit thicker and a tiny bit more expensive, it would still sell like crazy.

All in all looks like a really nice phone. It could have been perfect for so many people.
So close OnePlus, so goddamn close.

This post is way to long.

To the people talking about them not including SD cards, UFS 2.0 does not allow SD cards. We'll see SD card support drop like hot cakes very soon. It adds bulkiness to the device while forcing manufacturers to use eMMC 5.0 flash storage type which is relatively slow.

Also, the screen of this device is poor in terms of calibration. Yes, you can change the white balance but they're targeting NTSC gamut in the generation of phones where most manufacturers are targeting sRGB or even adobe RGB. The screen simply does not cover a wide color gamut. Add the fact that it is a penTile matrix display which uses red green red green/ Blue green blue green pixels in alternative rows instead of normal rgb matrix, reduces the sharpness of the display significantly, unless you're looking at a solid green color on your screen, it will not be of effective 1080p resolution. A 1080p penTile matrix display has effective resolution of an iPhone 6s display and in this case the size of display is even bigger than that of iPhone 6s. An LCD with RGB matrix would have been much better than this screen.
