“One or more networking protocols are missing in this computer”

I have been having an issue recently with my wifi adpator or windows 10.

I keep getting wifi drops, servely bad performance and complete disconnections on my workstation all other mobile devices are fine. The trouble shooter just throws up “One or more networking protocols are missing in this computer”

Unplugging my wifi adapter and plugging it back in or restarting does a temporary fix...

any ideas?

Did you update your motherboard and all your network related drivers?

list your wifi adapter here, and driver versions you are using.

list settings specified in your advanced settings of wifi network adapter.

Yep everything appears to be in order and on latest drivers

AFK at the moment but when I get back I will, thank you :)

Thanks

this appears to be a problem with the network adapter. --->https://duckduckgo.com/?q=Realtek+RTL8192CU+dropping+connection&t=ffab from what i can find with a quick duckduckgo search. best solution might be to get a new usb wifi adapter.

Thanks, seems to of only just started happening, nut if it seems that common then I certainly will get a new one, any recommendations, or should I get a PCIe one? faster or not?

pcie would be much better. faster speeds if you have wifi over 150 Mbps.

Great, sorry I'm not really a networking kinda guy, could you recommend one?

does it need to plug straight in or can it be separate? price range.

no preference, £10-40 or up to $58

this one should work
