So I have a Cisco Valet (M10) router. It's newer then my 2Wire No Name brand Generic router from our ISP.It's also faster, safer, and has more features.
Now onto the problem. Computer A, my PC is newer then Computer A. When Computer A does speedtest is gets a good 5 Mbps and .60 Upload on old Router. On new router it gets .50 Mbps with .10 Mbps. Why is this happening!?
My PC is not having this problem being wirelessly connected to Cisco Router yet the old PC is... The Wireless Network Card in my PC is older than the one in the actual old pc, it's Wireless Network stick is quite new.
Cisco Router was just finished being setup today and it was setup correctly. It currently works fine.
must be settings somewhere on your new router. maybe the wireless band that is on is a slower one?
I would try to make sure the cable is in good shape. Try different ports, update driver and get the newest firmware for you router.
Computer A and New PC are both wireless. Firmware is up to date. Network Cable is exceptional Cat 5.
Have you tried reinstalling the computer's OS?
Have you considered not trolling?
So the firmware is not the issue. How strong is the signal?
That would make no sense........
Are both routers plugged into the network at the same time? Double NAT? Possibly a problem with QOS on the new router?
If it's wireless try fiddling around with wireless channels? Maybe your old one was talking on the 5ghz-a network, and your new one doesn't support 5. 2.4ghz is congested anywhere you go.
