Old WD Black or new Blue

The old WD Black 3.5" HDD is WD1001FALS
and the new Blue is WD10EZEX will cost me about 10$ more

  • the main difference is the SATA 3 on the new blue and SATA 2 on the old Black
  • + 64MB Cache on the blue vs 32 MB Cache on the black

They are both 2013 HDDs

i have a sata 3 motherboard

I have two of thesame blue models listed now. They work great.

i have a black FAEX. but the sata capability doesn't matter too much with hdds...

what about the Cache is it that important ?

I have a Refurb Blue and it works atonishingly well, I love the cache and is totally worth the extra 10 dollars
