Old LCD Monitor

So, I have an old Benq FP71G+ monitor and I'm planning to use it for an upcoming build. Would it be enough to use? I know it's not 1080p, but I have a TV for that. This'll be just for regular gaming and work and other student stuff. I don't know much about specs so can anyone check this out?

It's 1280 x 1024 so your framerates will shoot through the ceiling because it's quite a low resolution. I believe it's only got a VGA input, but for everyday stuff it'll do.

do modern games require HDMI?

No, ofcourse not. HDMI is only useful for audio+video, VGA has almost the same quality as HDMI.

Alright then, thanks. One more thing, do case fans have backwards compatibility? I have some that still have the bulky 4 pins from 2001

Depends on your motherboard connectors. If your motherboard has a 4 pin fan connector, then yes. I don't know if there are any adapters available for molex > 4 pin?
