I have a old dual socket AMD server and I installed pfSence installed on it but I don’t want to use it because it sounds like a 747 is consistently taking off in my room. Does anyone know any good software or advice to create a custom fan profile to make it a little bit more quite?

Do you know if it will save the fan profile in the BIOS when I remove windows from the system?

Is installing a hardware fan controller an option?
Not really. I tried to remove several fans out of the system to make it a little bit more quite. All it did was boot up for about 30 seconds and shut down. It seems like all the fans need to be installed on the motherboard it self in order for the system to run.
