(Not sure where exactly this topic should go, so I put it in here)
So there I was, playing a game and having a grand ol' time popping zombie heads. Once I felt I was satisfied with the level of (digital) brain matter I had displaced from rotting craniums I promptly exited the game.
Then it started.
An extremely loud buzzing noise from my headphones. I tested to see if it kept on going when I played any sort of sound so I kicked up my music player and started blaring metal, it was as if the buzzing had never been there at all, but when I stopped the music it came back.
I have never experienced this before and and am wondering what could be wrong, after all my computer is still functioning perfectly fine and hasn't had this problem for the 8 months I've had it. So I thought I'd come to the people who would know.
Any advice as to how I can get this sound gone would be muchly appreciated!
What kind of head phones? I had this kind of issue with my logitech 930, only solution was to power off the headphone, take out the usb and wait a minute to fix it.
If it is what I think it is, you will have this problem fixed in under one minute. So lets begin!
Go to Control panel > Sound > Properties on "default device" > Go to "Advanced tab" > Change default format to something reasonable that your sound card can handle. In my case it would be 16 bit, 48000 Hz (DVD Quality)
