Official LANsyndicate Game List?

and Quake Live

OpenArena
OpenArena is an open-source content package for Quake III Arena licensed
under the GPL, effectively creating a free stand-alone game. You do not
need Quake III Arena to play this game.

0 A.D.
0 A.D. (pronounced “zero-ey-dee”) is a free,
open-source, historical Real Time Strategy (RTS) game currently under
development by Wildfire Games, a global group of volunteer game
developers. As the leader of an ancient civilization, you must gather
the resources you need to raise a military force and dominate your
enemies.

I haven't actually played either games but both seem/look very awesome.
Both OpenArena and 0 A.D. are free to download and play.
Would be fun to play.

I am absolutely in love with this game.

Is there any chance we could compile a list of servers for the games on this list? That way those of us who can't make the actual party can play along and still participate.

Factorio?
Planetary Annihilation?

Here are the results.

  1. Team Fortress 2 [9 votes (13%) ]
  2. Counter-Strike [5 votes (7%) ]
  3. League of Legends [5 votes (7%) ]
  4. Quake III [4 votes (6%) ]
  5. Call of Duty [4 votes (6%) ]
  6. Chivalry [4 votes (6%) ]
  7. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive [4 votes (6%) ]
  8. Dota 2 [4 votes (6%) ]
  9. Fistful of Frags [4 votes (6%) ]
  10. Tribes Ascend [4 votes (6%) ]

Anyone have Angels Fall First? Have it, but yet to play it. Looks like a fun MP game.

Does everyone want a second poll for the following mentioned games?

Rust
Terminal from COD Modern warfare 2
Xonotic
Quake Live
OpenArena
0 A.D.
Factorio
Planetary Annihilation
Angels Fall First

tbh I have just been D/L everything on this thread. Have pretty much everything but a handful that you have listed.

I'll voted on a second poll.
Also I've never played OpenArena, Xonotic or 0 A.D.
Which I'd like to give them a try

Pirates, Vikings, and Knights II is also a free game on steam that is pretty fun from what I recall.

If anyone wants to get a game of Dystopia and NeoTokyo in at the lan I'd be down, best free shooters imo (probably because I'm a big cyberpunk fan)

I'll get this one. Didn't know it was free. And it runs on Linux!

Another game I forgot to put in my post was Rocket League because I don't own it (yet), but I hear it's popular at LAN events.

Haven't played Rocket league yet, I'll have to load it up and try it out.

I hope there are some "official" tournaments, not that I will win anything due to being awful, but would be nice to try.

Rust will cause a homicide at the Lan. That game can bring out the worst in people.

I want to be transported back to high school where we are all playing fy_pool_day on the school network xD

I thought we were talking about this Rust:

Any rpg fans? Play a game of baldur's gate or icewind dale? The enhanced editions are on sale at GOG right now. Or diablo 2 maybe?

Can there be an IP listing via pm for people not going but want to play? / attend in some way?

From what I have heard the net to the place will be pretty minimum and that online games were to be avoided, I could be incorrect however. @DeusQain would be the judge I suppose on this topic.

If all works out, we should have 500/100.

But it's in the form of 2x 250/50 connections.

Well that sounds like it would be cutting it a little close for the amount of people that will be there, but to be honest I am not very knowledgeable of how much 250 people would draw (would suppose it would vary on the game). I would think @FaunCB may be out of luck with the ip request, unless you plan on live streaming The TEK from there.
