I have the KM Switch with USB Audio, the USB audio seemed to not work anymore as of yesterday.
I have it connected to a windows 11 machine and a mac pro, the usb audio interface was not showing up for either.
I have mouse roaming on with Audio follow off, I set Audio permanently to the second interface w/ ctrl+ctrl A while focused on that machine.
The USB B 3.0 are plugged into USB A 3.0 on the back of my computer, to my memory that hasn’t changed since it stopped working though I tried a different port, also tried unplugging/replugging the USB cables and power cycling the switch.
Tried unplugging all input inlcuding HID and Usb passthrough while unplugging-replugging USB to PC and power cycling the switch.
Obviously tried restarting the machine.
I don’t see anything odd in the devices/hardware view on windows.
Regular KM functionality and USB passthrough for the non-HID ports are working
So your external audio device is plugged in via USB, and the non-hid ports are working, so does plugging in the audio interface into one of the blu eusb ports allow for audio passthrough? It doesn’t need to be in a hid port.
I think I’m being dumb or I’m misunderstanding or both.
I have my speakers plugged into the KM switch via 3.5mm
I have my computer plugged into the PC2 but I do not have 3.5mm going from the pc to the km switch
I used to see a ‘USB Audio’ or some such thing while the PC was plugged into one of the PC usb ports on the KM Switch but I’m not seeing that anymore.
My understanding of what USB-Audio was for the KM switch was that it had a USB Dac that would pass through to the PC instead of connecting the PC to a 3.5mm jack
so right now KM Switch PC2 port is connected to my computer via a USB 3 A to B
the port it’s plugged into on the PC is a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port (blue)
It has both 3.2 Gen 1 and Gen 2, I tried both
I can’t find my manual, so if there’s a shortcut toggle the USB audio Dac off an on I could try that. I know I had audio follow off.
I ordered this monitor recently and will have pretty much the same setup. Did the new cable work and are you able to get 240hz (with or without the combiner) ?
Hello everyone! I just got the DisplayPort 1.4 KVM - PD Combo and it’s a wonderful piece of equipment. I got the cables sorted out and now I can switch between laptop and desktop easily.
One question, since I have a mechanical keyboard and a VIA layout, does the “Sleep” button sent through the KVM not actually do anything? I currently have the keyboard hooked up to a HID port, and I can see with the AutoHotkey macro creator that the “Sleep” function is being sent properly, but it does nothing to the computer.
