Hi my name is Samuel and I am from Paraguay and for some reason besides stupidity well in my job people are basically trying to put and to sore off obligate me to use Apple computers, they worship apple stuffs into the point that things become a bit annoying and to me the latest OS version of Apple computers are nothing more than a cute version of the old Windows 7 period, they use Imacs and those computers cost like 1500uss and it doesn't even have a CD - DVD drive, dude that's basic and by the way I have a Dell Venue Pro tablet and I work as a community manager, I don't need an Apple computer to do something stupidly easy, what would you do in my situation?
PS: Can you give me permission to do something like a Tek Syndicate Latin America haha?
you could sneek into work after everyone has gone home and format the hard drives of every iMac in the building and put linux on them. Just a suggestion.
Apple is a brand, you pay for the label and the "quality". Just like jeans, both pairs could be made in the same factory just with different labels but the brand one will always have a premium and will always be "better".
This is for several reasons, one being that someone paid a lot of money for something and they have to constantly justify their purchase. Again this isn't just apple like guys that buy sports cars that they only drive twice a year, they have to convince themselves that their purchase was worth it and showing off and comparing it to everyone else helps them do this.
For me, Apple are a premium product manufacturer, once you push and shove your way past all the innovation crap. If you want be value for your money then don't buy premium products, trying to convince anyone that they are value for money is stupid.
Pity these people as they are just clinging to their products to feel better about themselves. For me my pc, my phone and my clothes are just tools that serve a purpose. If someone doesn't have the same tool as me I don't feel the need to convince them to buy the same one as mine.
Its good for them if they are happy with their products but they should let you use whatever you want. Seriously what kind of enterprise is that?

Edit: If they are using specific software that just runs on Apple then I can understand that they want you to use a mac, too. But as long as all you have to do your your job works just as well on whatever you use thats not ok
