First post so pardon any formatting issues. Both my cousin and I have recently built computers that are very similar except for the graphics card. He got a MSI 660ti PE and I got a Gigabyte 7950. I was wondering what types of overclocks are expected from these cards before voltage tweaking. Also, are there any really good guides for overclocking these cards besides this one from 3dguru for the 7950 http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/radeon_hd_7950_overclock_guide,1.html ?
If this matters at all here are some of the other components.
H77 or B75 ITX or MATX motherboard.
Core i5 3450
520 watt seasonic PSU
mine was unstable past 985mhz on the core with outn volatge tweaking, really depends on your card but at 1.25 ish volts i can easily take the card to 1100/1450 and run it stable with Kombustor & Furmark, although i keep it a 1.2v and 1030/1375 so my fans dont get as loud, you should be able to push the mempry Mhz pretty far before needing to change the voltage.
I have seen people get theyr core clock up to 1300MHz and memory clock to 6400MHz with something like 0,6+ to offset voltage
and i think that you can clock it with almost same values than GTX 660 PE cause only diffrence between GTX 660 PE and GTX 660Ti PE is that Ti has 100 more shaders giving you littlebit more overclocking headroom on memory clock
