What are issues that i would run into if i oc'ed it even just a bit with the stock cooler? its at 3.5ghz. i oc'ed it once to 3.6 and when i tried to play skyrim i glitched all around the place, its hard to explain. is this what happens when i oc on stock cooler? will the hyper 212 evo fix this? do i have a bad cpu? i want to know before i buy my cooler.
what temperatures are you getting? if you are going over 65c on load then yes maybe your overclock is too high or you need a better cooling solution.
i have had my 6300 oc'd to 4.2ghz on stock cooler hovering around 70 on full load, but i brought it down to 4ghz for safety, but your chip might not reach as high
yeahh if you the money. buy a new cooler. the cooler the better :)
I had the 6300 with a stock cooler till I moved to a Cooler Master TX-3. Never OC'ed but that stock cooler was the loudest darn thing I ever heard when rendering or playing Planetside 2. The temps would go close to 65c and that made me uncomfortable.
true the stock cooler are a vacuum cleaner compared to a decent cooler
