I installed Guitar Hero III from my retail disc and got it up and running fine, but OBS can’t record it correctly no matter what settings I use in OBS. The output is way way too dark.
My distro I am using is CachyOS so Arch based.
i5 12400F CPU
32GB 3200 RAM
RX 480 8GB.
I also can only use H.264 (CPU encode).
Radeon one never works, CPU AV1 never works either.
OBS just throws muxer errors.
I installed OBS through the command line from the AUR.
Any help would be awesome.
I have a dedicated capture rig.
Nothin fancy, just an old PC with capture cards

If you’re getting muxer errors either your OBS and ffmpeg version are out of sync and you need to rebuild the package, or you have some weird-ass codec config in the video settings.
For recordings just use simple mode Indistinguishable quality and enable hardware encoding. If it still doesn’t work get a proper OBS log (Menu → Help → Log Files).
USB-Capture card used as a camera in OBS also works, no need for a secondary machine.
