Okay, so my friend and I were curious about playing Skyrim or Oblivion online together, when I stumbled upon this mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/40325/?
Can anyone tell me if it's any good or how easy it is to set up, etc?
If this does work then that's amazing, as Oblivion is one of my most played games, and I've been a dedicated fan to the game since I can remember. I even prefer it over Skyrim, although I do still love Skyrim too.
I played a skyrim mmo mod that was awful, this looks interesting.
However he says
Split screen and LAN
I have no plans to make this split screen or LAN. LAN has been tried
before by someone with far more knowledge of servers et al than me and
they appear to have given up some years ago. Split screen is not
possible using the Construction Set (even using plugins). I don't think
it could be implemented even by Bethesda without a major rewrite of the
core game engine (ie the bit that mods can't touch). I'd be happy to be
proved wrong but I've no intention of attempting it myself.
So both players play on the same pc, I don't think it will work online for you. Best bet is to play ESO.
Yeah, I was kinda gutted when I read about how you have to share the PC, I posted this before I even read the entire thing, I was just so let down when I read about how it's on the same PC. Like how would that even work? Would you have to have a super wide desk or something? :')
Yeah, I have ESO, I just don't have many people to play with, so I don't play it as much as I'd like to, sadly! :/
I would use steam controllers, but ya with a mouse and keyboard you'd need a big desk haha
