I ask, because I am worried if the matte finish is like those soft touch/smooth rubbery texture similar to what you would see on a Bitfenix Shinobi.
I do own a Bitfenix Shinobi and where I live, the soft touch texture became all sticky and stuff that I had to rub it all off with a sandpaper to make it look nice again.
I plan to watercool and the NZXT S340 is a good budget case for me to do so. I don't like the glossy finish, that's why I am looking at the matte finish.
Hopefully one of community members own the matte version and enlighten me.
I don't personally have this case, but a friend does and he has said he regrets it because of what you said exactly the sticky greasy residue you get and it wears quite quickly.
Yeah, I wasn't really into the glossy finish, but if I can't find any other budget case for watercooling, then I will most probably get the glossy finish. Then again, the top part on the glossy finish also has a matte finish =/
Maaaan, fine, if I really have no choice, I will spend a little more on the case lol
I own the glossy variant (didn't know there was a matte one), and the matte parts on it are not the goofy soft touch stuff. The matte bits, aka everything except the front panel, are plain ol' powder coated steel.
On the gloss black case the glossy parts of the case are the front panel, bottom panel, back panel, both side panels, and the cable routing channel cover thing. The matte parts are the top panel, inner front panel where the fans are, the PSU cover, and the motherboard tray.
I also can't seem to find anything online as to whether or not the matte S340 is soft touch or not.
