I'm looking to game on the center 1440p and program/work on the other two. If its viable playing games on low on all 3 screens that would be great, but I'm not looking to build a powerhouse.
Will this 6 core be sufficient? What graphics card will I need to pump out 3 1440p's at a reasonable price? Are 3x 1440p's even worth the investment for a workstation?
I would try this: http://nz.pcpartpicker.com/p/2LAoR
As far as 3x1440p for a workstation, I don't see the need. 2x1440p should be plenty. 1 screen for working on (centered) the other for holding reference material (offset). Unless you have played with tri-screen before and liked it I wouldn't recommend it. If you're dead set, consider grabbing 3x1080p screens instead and spend the extra money on a better graphics card.
Ah , Correct me if i am wrong, but what the op is suggesting is going to take more than a six core and 650 ti. Like alot more. It struggle to run 3x1080p well at decent fraps kind of thing.
