Six years old = very old.
Doesn't compute. Not as fast as modern systems yes but not very old.
Mind you Celeron means it wasn't blazing fast when new.
As others have said install Linux and hide it under the stairs, use as a file server.
know what, I have a file server on a 1997 computer with a 300 Mhz processor, and it works great, and eats like 30-50W of electricity, and most of it is the 2 10k rpm 37.6gb disks (yes, it is old)
I also have a pfsense firewall/switch with 14 Ethernets ports/2 n wifi cards which runs on an 3ghz pentium processor and it runs fine.
