Nvidia shield streaming feature

will the nvida shield support mobile gpus such as the gtx 670m in streaming content, i want that functionality and probably won't abuy a shield if its not supported, also will it work on other wifi networks not just on the local network. Will this feature ever come to fruition on mobile gpus owins it just later down other line.

From what I understand of the system, the streaming system is the computer is doing the work (eg calculating and rendering the game) with the resulting images being passed to the shield.

As I understand it only works on the same network as the pc is on. You maybe able to fool it with a vpn service, possibly. But it requires the higher speed of being on the same network to reduce latency and improve total frames transmitted to the device.

As for the GPU required, the last time I heard anything, they said an Nvidia GPU. So yes the mobile ones will work. I have not heard of any limitations of it only working with desktop gpus.
