Nvidia or ATI

Not a question of brand because i know where each stands but a question on a specific card.

or

HD 5870

Well the 5870 obviously performs better, but im a Nvidia guy.. You have to choose yourself.

5870 since it supports DX 11 and performs better, however, you will not have physx then and will have to either buy one off of ebay or install 7 or XP to get Physx working, PM me if you need help with setting it up.

What do you mean only Nvidia cards can run Physx

Ya, with their new drivers. But remeber the 5870 is also more expensive. But if your planning to buy now, I don't see a point in buying an older generation card.

Personally I would wait for the Fermi to come out. However if you are impatient or simply do not want to wait, then the ATi card is best.

These duel cards are cool though, Offering a high end GPU with a PhysX GPU built in on one card.

If you want the beast of the best, get Nvidia.

If, however, you want the best for the budget -Â ATi.

Its not best for budget, I have to say 600 dollars is a bit insane. Other then the GTX 295 nothing else out performs HD 5870, and 5970 is comming soon.

if you're getting a card right now, the 5870 is the best card to buy. Otherwise wait until the gt 300s come out, and then compare the 5870 to those cards

"GTX 360" should be at same price tag, as HD5870 is now (~$400).

Now it should be allmost as powerful, if not a bit better than GTX 295, but we'll see.

Btw, I've heard about higher prices on ATI up to Xmas.

They aren't crying... lol.

What does the release date for the GTX 360 look like.

The 5970 is essentially a Dell XPS and Alienware dedicated release, Meaning, you'll be lucky to get one without buying a Dell or Alienware. As for Nvidia, Who cares. Its not like there will ever be any games that come out on PC anymore. So buying a new card right now is a huge waste. ATi and Nvidia are going to lose so much money this year because of lack of games that push the limit. PC gaming is dead, and Infinity Ward killed it.

Why do you, among other say that Call of Duty kept the industry alive. I don't see how that shitty overused series is any good, it's just awful.

CoD 4 sold like fucking shit anyway on pc, 300k copies were sold. Now if world of warcraft and the sims stopped selling well, THEN pc gaming would be dead, even though i hate those games.

my god! you are an idiot!!!

you are saying pc gaming is call of duty???

EXCUSE ME?

you are pathetic!

you have clearly implied that call of duty is pc gaming!!!!

GOOD
DAY
SIR!

i have to agree pc gaming = crysis

You all have extremely low mental capacity, At no point did i mention call of duty, I said, Infinity ward, You know, the fuckweeds that are going to set the standard for "PC Matchmaking". Also, If you think PC gaming isn't dead, Name me one PC ONLY game that was good this year that wasn't an MMO or made by an indie developer, Hard Mode, No valve. Don't worry I'll wait.

Well CoD MW2 is gonna suck and we all know it. But look what we still have, we can mod and have custom content. Hey don't forget we still need the next Half Life game.

Cryostasis was pretty good actually IMO.

Anyways, in no way do I think that IW are gonna hurt PC gaming all that much. We still have DICE coming with BF BC2. Also, tell me, if a game does come out for consoles AND for PC as well, why should I complain? I'd much rather play it on PC than on PS3 (mostly anyways, only fighting games and a select few I would rather play on a console). Don't come to me with that argument that some of the ports from consoles are bad and run bad and bla bla. Most of these games that get bad ports are usually terrible games, good games get good ports, and usually with some improvement for the PC version. IE: Dragon Age: Origins which is immensely superior on PC than on consoles.

There are only a few games that are, or I expect that are gonna be good, which I HAVE to play on my console: Demon's Souls, God of War III and Dante's Inferno.
