Apparently GTX 1080(?) launching in May.

8 GB of GDDR5X. GP104 Core, 16nm, 2X performance per watt, 1x 8pin connector, 2x Display Port, 1x HDMI, 1x DVI

GP100 (Titan/Ti) will launch second half 2016 and feature up to 32GB of HBM

(Rumor) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 has GP104 and 8GB GDDR5X memory

I still can't believe that actually wne t ahead with that name structure. Only good for 1080p huehuehue.

Ah okay. I would bet against it.

It would be strange for AMD to go from 4 number to 3 and nVidia to go from 3 to 4. The console scrubs transitioning might get confused, especially when the top end is called the 1080. The jokes and misinformation would be legendary.

2x performance per watt? That would mean they switched from Silicon to Germanium for a semi-conductor. Therefor the price would be arround 7-12 times higher compared to every card that was build from 2000 to 2016.
Side thought: If AMD has 20% to 30% better efficency with 14nm FinFET, how can Nvidia reach 50% more efficency in 16nm FinFET? Does not make any sense to me. On the other hand, I am just an average engineer who has only a basic undestanding OF FREAKING NUMBERS!
After that clash of false information on pascal I can´t belive any "evidence" found in forms like that. Maybe I should go into OpenOffice and fill in a table aswell...
Outputs seem odd to me. 2xDPs is okay. Not good for G-sync/FreeSync surround setups but Nvidia declared that technology to be dead anyway. 1xHDMI for good measure. But the DVI does not make any sense as you could convert DP into DVI when needed.
31.5GB HBM2.0 + 0.5GB FloppyDisk from the industry gigant Nvidia went to court with or Hynix? It can not be GDDR5X as that is not in production until Q2/Q3 2016.
Last point: 265-bit mem-interface? What is this? 2007?

until the monitor market increases, im sitting with the 780 ROG Poseidon. as of right now 4k is ridiculously priced. but looks cool

Does AMD plan to bring the fire? Lol, thought they were trying to move away from that stereotype
