How can I set a fan curve for my Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1 Gaming in Ubuntu? It is running about 3 degrees hotter at idle from 49 in Win10 to 53 in Ubuntu.
You can’t. nvidia-settings only allows fan speed adjustments in fixed speeds, not fan curves, and that’s only after you’ve added “Coolbits” to xorg.conf.
This is one of the big things nvidia-settings lacks vs MSI Afterburner or EVGA Precision.
