I have a GTX 970 Strix, and I am concerned about the temps that the card is putting out. On MSI afterburner the card is reading 55 degrees Celsius. I was wondering if that is ok for the card to idle at, or will it cause long term damage?
It's perfectly normal on a strix card.
The ASUS GTX 970 OC idle temperature is 50 C. The fans start spinning up only when the card exceeds 67 C.

Thank you, last thing I want is a dead GPU...
That's what zero rpm will do until it hits 60C (maybe 65C?)
I was under the impression the fans were not supposed to come on until the temp hits 60 C as well.
