Nvidia 660Ti

i got 660Ti and i was wandering if it was a good buy

and also what kind of OC can i do on it (if any)?

well, if you bought it fairly recently (which i presume you have) then depending on how much you paid, you should get pretty decent performance out of it. if you bought it New, then i would've recommended getting the 760 instead. but for the most part, the cards are about equal in terms of performance. i myself use 2 of them in my system.

and as for OCing, there are a lot of different things that contribute to how high you can go. like: reference model or aftermarket, thermal design, ambient heat (room temps), case airflow, etc..

but as for personal experience, i've gotten both of my reference models (EVGA & PNY) to 1200-core, 1575-memory, and they hover around 70-76c while running burn in tests. i also have pretty decent airflow, and i tend to keep it a bit chilly in the room.

I got my ASUS model to 1280 core and 1605 memory.

As far as the card itself goes: I love this thing to death.

Get a 760, its basically a 670 for the price of a 660ti or 670.

@thecaveman

the 760 is a 660ti with less cuda cores, and wider memory bandwidth. the bandwidth is what crippled the 660ti from really showing itself off. the increased bandwidth in the 760 is what let it keep up (and now surpass) the 660ti.
