Funny thing is I am already doing the same thing. Just with porn and for recreational purposes. Their purposes are to "investigate" criminals and terror suspects. Criminals aren't even in their jurisdiction (unless they are terrorist). I mean we have the FBI, DEA, ATF, Sheriff's Department, City Department, and State Troopers to do this. Not to forget the CIA, but they are supposed to operate in a similar manner as the NSA does. The are intelligence for one, and two they work in war zones and what not (war on terror). Isn't life miraculous when the most secretive agency of them all is trying to do their jobs for them?
P.S. all agencies work to counter terrorism. The FBI, Homeland Security, and everyone else works together.

I don't think that the US has terrorism. But lets assume that I'm wrong, scanning all the people won't help against terrorism.
Terrorists are going to act exactly like normal citizens, brain-scans and psychological analysis of failed terrorists have shown that they have compartmentalized their brain to an extend that it borders on schizophrenia. The part that wants to commit acts of terror is completely buried until it's triggered. That's just not going to be detectable with surveillance.
I think the purpose of all that surveillance is population control, at least that is the only logical explanation I can find. Countering Terrorism is just an excuse

What I meant by porn, is that over the years I have collected porn videos (videos of people I find attractive?) for well you know recreational use.
The reason for using quotation with the word terrorist, was that I was inferring that they claim these things are for tracking terrorists and what not. "Terrorists" aren't the only ones being surveyed.

A law is a rule born out of the consensus of a society, if a large number of people ignore the rule it's no longer a law. Enforcing such ignored rules is oppression: See blasphemy-laws, censoring of free speech, gay-marriage, birth control or abortion.

Especially when those who make the laws and enforce said laws don't follow them. I mean the government extorts money from companies, it give bailouts to companies who paid them well, it blackmails people, it murders innocent civilians (which is often considered an acceptable number of casualties), and it is not for free market. Or is is for free market, just monopolistic free market that prevents job creation, and actually induces job loss. It prevents new businesses from even starting. Small business is the number one source for job creation.
