I never thought I would see this day. From my earliest attempts to run Linux when it was very rough around the edges 15 years ago. To around 5-6 years years ago when it became a serious alternative on a regular users desktop. To now where you can get a new computer from Dell with it preinstalled. Now we have Steam, the last reason for keeping Windows around will soon evaporate, what with the direction MS has taken it's happening just about in time.

Not yet. People use windows for more than gaming.
Good luck dood!
I honestly hope things start working out for linux in terms of the gaming world. I'm kinda sick of people thinking they have to drop $100 on an OS or pirate it. Being a programmer I have many installations of different OS's running at all times, I primarily stick with Windows because quite honestly the best dev tools are on Windows, hopefully that will start moving around as well, I like have many options, not being locked down to whomever has the largest install base.
