Noob at Ubumtu and got a big list of issues

So i have installed Ubuntu Linux 14.09 or the latest one that was beta or something and i have a list of issues

1. i know that league of legends is in beta with league of legends but know any ways of being able to log into it and play a match since i keep Bugsplatting after i hit the icon

2: Steam is not sending my email verification code to my email even though is the same email.  i have checked is the right email since i go onto my laptop which has steam hooked up to my account and has the right email on it.

3 for some reason i cant install my GPU drives (r9 270x) for some reason and it takes ages for somehow 

4 unable to change the mouse sensitivity to max and the scroll is slow for my taste which they are missing from the Mouse and Keyboard settings. i have a cheapo generic no name wireless mouse from Hong Kong on ebay

5. (not an issue) is it for me yet or not?

ps. thats what i can think of right now since i am resorting to playing on my 3ds, I NEED MY PC GAMING FIX, although it has help me stop being on my pc more often. willing to try other Linux variations that support my gaming needs. coming from windows 7 to Ubuntu has help me more but sorry if i sound like a baby wining for stuff.

Ubuntu 14.04 LTS sucks bigtime, it has more bugs than the Manhattan sewage system. If you want to use Ubuntu, get Xubuntu, Kubuntu or Lubuntu. Xubuntu uses XFCE, which is like what Windows XP should have been like, and Kubuntu uses KDE, which is what Windows 8 should have been like. I would recommend Xubuntu because it stays out of your way and is gtk-based

But strongly consider using Manjaro XFCE instead, it has Steam preconfigured ready to go, proprietary drivers ready to go, etc... just don't waste time, install Manjaro, piece of cake, good support community in all languages, etc...

Then report back if you have any remaining issues. Just one thing: don't think Windows when using linux, think Android, only get software from the official software store etc... and you'll be just fine.

 thanks trying manjaro soon dont have time for it now to install it. lets see if any better than Ubumtu ill talk back in like a few days.. fking ubumtu SUCKS only can watch youtube and play pirated and shitty free games
