Noctua nh-d14

Hey like 2 weeks ago I postet this: https://teksyndicate.com/forum/inboxexe/no-one-helps-3d-guys/143025

Last week I made my build:

Fractal Design R4 (black)

asus sabertooth 990FX R2.0

AMD-FX 8350 + noctua nh-d14

evga gtx 660 SC (2gb)

evga psu (forgot which one exactly but it doesent matter)

and the cheapest CD drive I could find.

I build it all and it works nicely the cpu is cooled nicly ( 34 celcius at idle).

But I bought the noctua (insteat of h100I) because people told me It would make less noise.

The noctua had a 3 pin connector and my mobo 4 so still connectet it and they work.

They work to well the noctua blows at full speed all the time, setting up silent mode in bios or asus ai suite wont change anything.

Should I connect the noctua to the case's fan controller (5, 7 ,12 V) to controll it manually or do I have to update the bios or am I missing anything? please help me it's kind off ennoying :(

greets max

Did you plug them in the correct 3 pins? Should be an extra pin on the right of the 3 pin connector.

yes the mobo has 4 pin and the noctua only 3 im pretty shure I put the im right because when I first saw it I paniced :D and looked it up :) so that should be right. Also there are ulltra low noise adapters but I would like to have more controll over my noctua then just a low noise all the time with less cooling performance.

sorry for no commas but just got back from running and its raining im cold and im gonna take a shower now :D
