So I finally caved and purchased myself a pair of NF-F12 fans. Aside from the lower noise compared to my H100i's normal fans and what appears to be about 3c lower idle temps on my 4.9Ghz overclock (Fx-8350), anyone think I'll see any other real tangible results from these fans?
Any personal experience with these fans? Please share.
Thats a good drop in temps mate. Ive used and still have a heap of noctua fans (from 80mms to 140s) including the f12's. Bloody awesome to say the least.
i bought some NF-F12's, 6 in total, 3 for me and 3 for my girlfriend. i have had mine for about year and i can say that they are the only fans i have had that have not started to click or make noise when hanging from the top of my case in a push config on a 360 rad.
What more do you need?
It will keep your CPU cooler and will run quieter... What other difference do you really expect to see? Those are the two reasons to buy new fans, and NF-F12 do both and do it well...
i was looking where to cut a hole in a case and when i placed my NF-P12 on the side, the magnetic pull, stuck itself to the side of the case. it's not strong enough to stick without resting on a very small rivet ~1mm and case foot, but no other fan i have does it and it sticks pretty hard. you have to place the output side where the windings are to the side, but i thought that was enough to keep my HDDs away from them. i don't think they can degauss a drive, but wow!
