NO UEFI BIOS? o,o

help guys my bios says its uefi enabled but still shows up as the regular old bios

got any ideas? tried secure boot off and legacy boot on and whatnot

my comp is pre built so i think dell might have removed it???? idk really...

thanks

what kind of computer? dell likes to dumb everything down, i wouldent doubt if they did remove it

dell xps 8500

http://www.dell.com/us/business/p/xps-8500/pd?refid=xps-8500&baynote_bnrank=0&baynote_irrank=0&~ck=baynoteSearch&isredir=true

the 1300 dollar one i got mine at best buy for 50 dollars cheaper

i7 3770 + 7770, my sides are in outerspace.

=.= so i came here to ask if there is uefi bios and this is what i get.(jk)

but please tell me if they took it out or not

If it is an OEM mahcine, in all likely hood yes. Also I'd expect alot of features have been locked/removed from the bios that is left.

Companies that produce whole machines don't like you to mess around in the bios as it is one less thing there support has to then cover.

Also these machines are generally sold to people who have no clue what a bios is anyway, so it makes sense.

oh guys i got it now the eufi bios was actually under the diagnostics option in the boot menu....

which is weird because i would never look there in the first place

Mine are farther, actually. I can't believe the prices people will pay for a prebuilt. I just want to shoot my foot and feed what's left of it to a snail when I see shit like this.

I feel really sorry for you..... in future, please ask for advice before purchasing.

I have a 500 pound build that performs the same as yours...

And it has 4-way Crossfire motherboard, with a better power supply.

Fuck Dell and all those other OEM companies. You're way better off building your own machine, and it's really easy. Plus, if anything goes wrong you can fix it yourself.

hehe, I'd be thankfull if they removed the stupid uefi stuff...

i would build my own comp... some day... if my parents would trust me that i know how to build one... lol
