No more A409U. Is IPS screen better for my needs?

I've edited the post since I have received new info from dream seller.

The A409U is discontinued and will hopefully receive an update from end of this month. However, I am still confused
which screen to get - is the IPS screen better for me?

  • Monitor used for photoediting (I color calibrate with Spyder 4) so I have some picky needs
  • Need a full sRGB gamut , preferably WiderGamut
  • Has to be flicker free when lowering backlight / brightness
  • Prefer low-gloss - preferably matte.
  • Freesync not an issue for me - 980TI

So the monitor lineup:
- AHM A409U - discontinued - wait for upgrade that may come?
- Mango UDHD 420? IPS screen.
- Other?

I can't stand flickering when lowering the brightness / backlight. I will have three calibrations 90cd, 120 cd, and 180cd depending on the light in the room when I'm working with pictures.

Btw - live in Sweden, so VAT is a staggering 25% (taste that number and regurgitate it if you will). I can't afford bad pixels (off - yes, but not on). I can take other defects. I've had 2 red full on pixels on a previous Samsung Syncmaster that was killing me.

Many thanks.
