Now that No Mans Sky has been leaked an there is a lot of gameplay footage on the web, i think we as consumers has a pretty good idea of what the game is going to be like on release.
For me i'm still interested, the game looks like a but of a grind buy still a fun grind, the exploration both in and out of the ship looks pretty cool.
What about you guys, are you gong to buy on release? has anyone here pre ordered? has anyone had their mind changed since the leaked footage has come out?
UPDATE;
So I was one on the lucky ones,
The game runs for me! not super well FPS anywhere from 35-60, pretty constantly around the 55 mark. I have it on max settings, fov on 100, at 1080p. There is not too much pop in when in foot, but god the pop in when flying is HORRIBLE, and because there is no LOD setting we can't change it. I have some hitching when wandering around. The games is not crashing for me, but if I alt tab out of the game I can't seem to alt tab back in and have to close it and restart.
So my specs
Intel Core i7 3770 @ 3.40GHz,
Asus GeForce GTX 970 Strix GPU,
8GB G.Skills ARES DDR3-1600 RAM,
Digital Black 1TB 7200rpm HHD
At this point in time I'm happy with the game and will not be refunding, hopefully Hello Games will be patching the game and fixing issues as quick as they can, but in the mean time I'm having fun!
Implying i'm gonna pay for it.

well since its drm free do you mind buying it on gog and sending me the install exe so i could test it :P
@anon5205053 same gonna pick it up off GOG at the end of the month. Hopefully it will work with my HOTAS setup for flying.
I want a chill exploration game and this seems to scratch that itch.
Meh. Not tally interested in these types of games as it is. So I was never really excited.
The hype around this game has been disgusting though. Damn thing just needs to launch already so people stop talking about it like it is the second coming.

Weird. I'm thrilled as ever for it. This game is why i bought a new GPU. Most games are barely veiled copies of each other the past 5years. There is some new stuff here.
I've consciously avoided all the spoiler footage I too want to experience it cold.
It's plain to see this game won't be for everyone. My copy I preordered on Steam a few weeks ago. While I love what GOG does with for DRM, I believe the Steam community might be the best way to actually find other people in-game.
The biggest reason I'm buying this game is to support this type of game development. Procedural content generation has the potential to radically change games. Same reason I bought Roboblitz years ago on Xbox Live. (Even though I hate 3d platformers)
My hope is this type of dynamic interconnected system could be applied to other aspects of gameplay. Things like narrative quests or iterative character behavior. Quite frankly while I love games like Fallout 3/4 or Daggerfall/Morrowwind/Oblivion/etc most of the side quests are very sloppily written. Most NPCs move about nearly without purpose. The reason only the main quests and a few others are any good is the emphasis on quantity. For people to hand script these things it takes forever to generate this kind of content.
What if a procedural generation system could take a basic social structure and fill in the blanks? On a planet sized planet? With a number of different societies? That's where procedural development can go, given enough time IMO.
Plus this game looks to be the ultimate casual experience. Play for a hour see some neat stuff, pick it up again in a few days when you've another hour. Which is all I've really got time for.
Then there is the social experiment of it all. How many "Planet Penis" will I stop at along the way?
Will players destroy the economy in-game? What will griefing look like in a game like this?
The devs have promised further development. Will they follow through? Probably not as fully as promised but I think there will be more free content along the way. The team is small amd the game appears to have presold well, so I base my assumption on captiol in hand.
Same goes for mods. Will people develope a Dwarf Fortress in space inside this game? What is the Garrys's mod equivalent with these tools?
Regardless of what this game becomes in a week(WTF on that delay?) it has my curiosity and I believe that's the whole point: how far will curiosity take you?
Edit: I THINK I'M A FANBOY SAVE ME!
gog gives you possibility to refund (get cash back) no question asked for few days after purchase.
so if you don't like it, you can refund.

Was interested in it before but I no longer am. Would much rather play Elite or some other games of that caliber.

It's a space exploration game so I'll probably get it. Just not immediately. I'm not excited enough to buy on launch. It will be on my radar for the winter holiday sale in December. I'll try to get it on GOG.
if its drm free modding will be quite easy... if not completely open.
Gog offers you to sync your steam account with gog. (it will give you all games that you currently have on steam, thus if you want gog version all you need to do is join your accounts through gog -- you aren't loosing any titles on your steam account.)
The multi-player part, ain't going to work like that. I doubt you'll see any players ever. I doubt they implemented mp. The mp they did is database on their servers where and what planet was generated the random.math process they do - and then only share naming to all players steam&gog since they would use their own server.
I see gog is coming closer and closer to cross-play with steam. Slowly but its getting there.

I'm totally interested in it. But I'm the kind of person that has been "stabbed" in the back many times by videogame companies so for now I won't pre-order or buy at lunch the game but I'll wait until I have a clear situation to evaluate the game.
I always like to Bethesda games due to the fact that I could just endlessly wander around and enjoy random content
and Random Encounters
and finding random things,
oh look a cave!
' so yes I am still somewhat interested depending on how well this game will be received
Yeah kinda, but it's not random. Its procedural.
Computer generated for sure, but persistent and repeatable as opposed to RNG.

yea, but not really -> procedural generation is generation on random numbers within defined spec of values.

Games have been traditionally. These developers promise to be different. Whether this game is different or not is to be determined. They do talk a good game IMO.
Obviously the developers aren't giving out specific information on exactly how things are done before launch. Though there have been a few things that lead me to believe it isn't random I the strictest sense.
One of them is the technical Q&A one of their programmers gave.
https://archives.nucl.ai/recording/building-a-galaxy-procedural-generation-in-no-mans-sky/
If you haven't seen that link before give it a look and tell me what you make of it. It's not specific enough for me to really fact check it. Though with a better understanding of the underlying concepts it should be possible to work it out. Hopefully you can let me know.
Really though at the end of the day salespeople will say anything to make a buck. As much as I'd like this circumstance to be different it may not be. I'll find out this weekend.
That's a bone head move for sure. I suspect Sony is spearheading that. They've invested a lot in NMS. Which is one of my biggest concerns. Big companies publishing "indie" developers.
How much creative control does the little shop have left?
