Building a friends PC and everything was going well. Then I unplugged a hard drive power cable and plugged in an adapter for molex to sata because it wasn't recognising the hard drive. Now none of the external ports work but the computer turns on and 5he error readout LED is just flashing random numbers, as it was when it was working.
Motherboard: ROG Maximus VII Gene
Ram: Corsair Vengeance 2x 8GB 2133MHz
CPU: intel i7 4790k
plug off the problem hdd, reset bios.

The hard arrive is unplugged. Also, there is no error code, it just cycles through a bunch of numbers too fast to read.
Film it or photograph it. that way you can read them.
did you reset the bios from mobo?
You mean reset the bios by hitting the reset buttom because yes. I also cleared the CMOS.
try disconnecting more devices. everything non essential all hdd's etc.
Everything is unplugged that ist essential. I dont understand why the mogherboard usb ports arent getting power
