No Display with Level1 KVM

KVM Model:

Combo USB-C Power Delivery & DisplayPort 1.4 KVM

Problem:

Hi. I’ve been holding off on this post for way longer than I should have, thinking there’s no way I’m this incompetent. But alas, here we are. I can’t seem to get my KVM working. My computer has a FIBR cable going from the Nvidia GPU to the KVM PC 1 Input, then a FIBR cable going from the output to my monitor. I get no signal at all. I’ve plugged another monitor directly into the PC and can see that the computer isn’t seeing any other monitors. I have nothing else plugged into the KVM right now, just the one monitor connection trying to get it working before I plug everything into it.

What the heck am I doing wrong here?

what color are the LEDs on the front of the kvm?

the fiber cables have a directionality. Source side goes on the gpu side and “display” goes to the kvm

then the fibr cable for the monitor, source end goes into console and display end goes into the display.

when the kvm has the power brick plugged into it (and no other ports) you should here a click, beep and have a power light on the kvm.

Hi Wendell,

I hauled my TV into my office and plugged the DP cable into it… which lead me to discover the problem is with the monitors DP port. I’ve exchanged it and its working smoothly now! Thank-you once more!
