Nginx RTMP Module: what fork to use

Hello Everyone,
I’m curious if anyone has any suggestions when it comes to the Nginx RTMP module - https://github.com/arut/nginx-rtmp-module it hasn’t been actively developed in a while (last commit was in 2017) I noticed a bunch of forks with more active development and wondered if anyone might recommend one fork over another?

I haven’t used it, but last time I looked this one seems maintained: https://github.com/winshining/nginx-http-flv-module

Thanks @candybar I’ll try it out - do you simulcast at all?

I used version 1.14 of libnginx-mod-rtmp from the ubuntu 18.04 repository for a while. Though it has been some time. It’s up to version 1.17 in the the 20.04 repo.

My setup was I would push an rtmp stream to nginx from ffmpeg and then vlc clients would consume the the stream over http. And it worked fine, until I tried to use OBS on windows to push to the rtmp server. But the resultant stream was green on vlc.

I was probably just a simple configuration error on my part, but I never bothered to trouble shoot it.

No I was just exploring options at the time, never actually did anything
