I have a truenas build and trying to mount nfs from another computer to the nas. It used to work. I can ping the ips from both directions, however nfs fails to mount now. Not sure what the issue is. Verbose say s it has timed out for mount command.
Can you check on Truenas if the NFS service has disabled itself?
It is not. It mounts correctly for all my other devices.
It seems like date and time is not correct. Verbose said 13:37 when my desktop says 13:35.
I don’t think NFS does SSL verification so NTP should not matter if it is wrong, but I am not an expert.
It connected before adding another switch to the mix, at the same time nothing connected to the new switch fails to connect to the nas. So not sure. It pings fine. All my other devices have nfs share mounted.
Seems to have been a single bad pool. Gonna run smart and data scrub. Started getting zfs errors. I restarted the truenas computer. It is mounting now, however I noticed zfs error and it was stuck on a data scrub. Not sure if it is a failing drive or if it is usb errors. It was my usb pool, however it has not shown errors except for now.
I know the risk of usb zfs, wendell mentioned if it has dbus errors then only option is to reboot the system or it will never work. He has used usb drives. I have a total 29 drives between 3 pools. One of which is usb the rest are sata.
