Nexus 7 (2012) Micro USB Repair

Hey everyone,

A while back my tablet stopped charging. At first I thought it was the cord, but no help.Charging method (eg usb /wall) didn't help either, until I investigated the slot that the micro USB fits into. What had happened was a tiny part of the socket, the one in the middle that sticks out inside the slot, chipped off, making it so that any kind of cord won't be able to charge it. Is there any way to fix this? Or am I now left with a $200 cutting board. Thanks in advance!

in my experience micro usb ports are a pain in the ass to replace but it does not look to bad wit the Nexus 7 as the micro usb is attached to a board that leads to a ribbon cable LINK

Here is a LINK to the replacement part!

Good Luck!
