Can anybody supply an updated tutorial on how to deodexing a Nexus 4 running AOPK.

I know CM 10.2 is deodexed, AOKP should be as well. Open a root file browser and look in /system/app, if there are no .odex files in there (only .apk's) then your rom is deodexed.
