Nexuiz not starting up

So I am having trouble getting Nexuiz to boot up on Steam. It will start up, but the catch is; the game crashes about 2-3 seconds of running. I honestly have no clue why it isn't working.

  • Case: NZXT Lexa S Mid-Tower
  • PSU: Corsair CX750M
  • Mobo: Asus M4A77D
  • CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 955 Black Edition
  • CPU Cooler: Thermaltake Duorb CPU Cooler
  • GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD 6790 1GB GDDR3
  • RAM: 4GB 2X2 PQI 800 MHz Dual Channel Memory
  • Fan Controller: NZXT Sentry 2
  • Sound Card: Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy SE
  • 2x Logisys 120MM Blue LED Case Fans
  • 1x Eagletech PSU Fan (salvaged it)
  • 1X NZXT Fan
  • Head Set: Rosewill RHTS-8206
  • Keyboard: Logitech G510 Gaming Keyboard
  • Mouse: Cyber Snipa Silencer Gaming Mouse
  • Monitor: ASUS MS228 21.5 Inch

I have all the newest drivers possible

That was THQ and I believe was not picked up by anyone else after they tanked. I thought all the servers went away making so no online. Does not explain the crashing but it looks pretty dead.

Possible fix
1. Turn off your internet
2. Start nexuiz
3. Turn your internet back on once the game has loaded aka it has gone fulscreen
Thats the way that I got it to work
