Next Gen consoles, and Pc builds

Ok hello everyone.

So as well all pretty much know now that the next generation consoles, the PS4 and Xbox will be released soon, that will have some impact on pc gaming.

My question is because the next gen consoles will have AMD based cpu's and AMD based gpu's, with those cpu's using 8 cores. So does that mean we will be seeing in the future AMD based pc build more regularly because gaming may be optimised more for AMD?

It may be that Intel is not fully optimised for gaming, and nvidia does not have the upper hand in the majority of game titles in the future.

What do you think?

no, i dont think so...

but i think we can expect the 8 core supported games to be in quicker than we might have thought before...if they dont screw up the ports of course...

Actually, Nvidia controls most of the triple a titles, such as Metro 2033 and BF3. The only reason the Xbox 360 uses AMD is for price.

Im a little sad they didnt choose nvidia just because of the physx that would be nice to see. But the opengl on the ps4 (if thats what its useing like the ps3) will be very fast for the amd cards

Metro is optimized for AMD O.o
