first off Sorry if i put this in the wrong sub forum, my question is does anyone know how bad newegg is to deal with on their accidental damage return? i bought the warrenty with my laptop a while back and it fell of my loft and cracked the bottom.
it's a pain, but never let someone else's bad behavior / badgering / being annoying / generally idiots prevent you from getting something you are entitled and paid for. you bought the warranty and are entitled to a new laptop.
i once bought a very cheap drill and spent that little extra on a warranty. it died after a month and i got a new one. new one and the next 2 died. was a hassle but the one i have now i have had for years and works great.
lot of company's make and sell low quality stuff and expect you not to return it because of the hassle. dont let them take advantage of you.
It's an msi and the warranty is through Newegg.
Newegg has always been really helpful for me even when it was clearly my fault they took stuff back and even paid for the shipping, I would just submit a RMA request on their website and explain what happened they will likely give you a UPS shipping label and have you fixed up within a week or so. If Newegg proves too much a pain MSI won't be any less of one they are not helpful and don't give a flying shit, while they stand by their warranties they do so slowly and painfully as to keep people from bothering them.
Another wonderful reminder of why I didn't buy an MSI laptop even though it had everything I was looking for... Bad customer service kills businesses.
I think you are understanding the fact that Im returning it to Newegg not MSI. It was not a problem with the laptop.
Like I said Newegg is really awesome even if it was totally your fault they will probably help anyway. I might not say I dropped the thing outright but even if you did they would try and help you. Vendors like Newegg know that it is by being awesome about things like that they retain and get more customers. File a claim with them if it is possible Newegg will help you.
I ordered a couple of cases from them for my office, the stock dell ones looked bad infront of our clients when they'd come through and someone beat them to shit so they were all dented and scratched up before we received them. So when i called newegg they sent us replacements and through in some flash drives. We got to keep the old cases with was nice because a couple times someone would break something off or what and we had some replacements sitting around. I would at least try if i were you if it's an MSI laptop odds are you spent some good money on it and i wouldn't let that go to waste because someone might be a dick.
