Hey guys, I'm new to this forum, I heard about it from a youtube video which I found both amusing, and informative.
Anyway, the guy said that it is a good idea to go on a forum and put up the specs of the computer I wish to build before I go and spend my money.
Here are the specs:
Gigabyte GeForce GT 640 2gb Video Card
Intel Core i5 3470 4-Core 3rd Gen Processor
AsRock Z77 Pro4-M Motherboard
In Win BUC 101 Mid Tower Gaming Case
8gb DDR3 RAM
First off, what do you intend to use this system for?
Gaming, mainly Arma2/3, DayZ, WarZ maybe, then LOTRO, Minecraft, im not too fussed on Graphics, Id just like a PC that can play games without framerate issues preferably haha
hey hey welcome
may i ask you what kind of budget you have for the new build, cause i think you can get a nicer system then that, if you gonne pickup an amd system, if you on a lower budget..
grtz Angel ☺
You would be using a locked CPU on an unlocked motherboard. If you're going with Z77/Intel, get a 3570k at least. Personally, I would get an AMD 8350, Gigabyte 990fx board (whatever is cheapest), and an AMD 7770.
budget is around 600, but I can probably go a bit over

If you want to play anything other than minesweeper then>
Gigabyte GeForce GT 640 2gb Video Card = waste of time as they are not a gaming card.
A trinity apu with fast memory would yield better gaming performance than this.
plenty of reviews around. and there is well ..... google.
Cooperman's build is pretty close to mine, I just like some of these brands a bit better
my ram is a bit faster

I really like this build! Lots of performance for $615.
you lose about 15% bandwidth in a non dual channel ram configuration and the 7850 is a bit better than the 650Ti

Nice build cooperman
i could personaly recommend you to choose a diffrent model 7850 gpu, cause those single fan XFX cards, can have troubles with overheating.
I think they did a bad paste job on the chips or used cheap paste, someone needs to look into that, other single fan brands aren't as hot
Thank you man, that pc is so much better, it seems to be exactly what I want, it's dot budget, and has some gnome grunt. :D
