New Work Station 2 Xeon E5 v3 OR wait till the New AMD chips come out

You haven't heard the news, I guess.

I took two things away from the demonstration that are very important.

The IPC of Zen is on-par or better than Broadwell.
Zen will scale higher than 3.0 GHz in 8-core configurations.

I've heard hype ;) I'm betting on Haswell matching performance which should be fantastic for AMD stock if the price is right but like the 480 isn't any real excitement for high end junkies.

Given the blender benchmark, that ..

Kaby Lake will be out before Zen. Wait.

Kaby Lake is a consumer part. Even Skylake E won't be out before ZEN.

After much back and forth and now constant crashes on my existing AMD FX 8350 tower due to cpu maxing out and not being able to handle it. The boss has let me order all my parts for a dual cpu build. final parts list is this.
Phanteks Enthoo Luxe Series case
Asus Z10PE-D16 WS
(2) Intel Xeon E5-2683 V3 SR1XH 2.0GHz 14Core 35M
(2) Corsair Hydro Series H80i V2
(2) CORSAIR 64GB (4 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 2133
Corsair Certified HXi Series HX1000i
Mushkin Reactor 1TB 6Gb SATA III
reusing Samsung 850 EVO 1 TB
and my old R9 270X 4gig untill the new AMD Vega card comes out then i will decide on a video card.

I will do a build log with testing numbers comparing video recording times for old and new.

Yes i know these cpu's wont be great for gaming but i do little to no gaming so i am not that worried about it. I mostly use my tower for recording 1080p video, Autocad and Revit and programming along with running Linux VM's.
