New Unearth album

Well, I'm not particularly fond of most metalcore, and not even really of Unearth, but I got the CD from a sample song I heard of it, and they've improved... This album pretty much stands out... It has some amazing guitar work in it, and the drummer gets a little more varied. It's worth a listen. this time instead of their usual mix of shreds and hardcore at the same time, now the majority of songs find their roots in the hardcore strain, with some amazing shredding thrown in.

Just doesn't measure up to the past..

I just have such a hard time getting into metalcore... it's the dynamics and the singing usually...


with most black metal there is more atmosphere... metalcore is just there to rock.. which is cool... but I like songs that take the listener somewhere... I can say that I've ever had a lofty idea while listening to metalcore...


having said all that... the guitar work on the last CD is good... just not good enough to get me to stop listening to Mörker.
