Hey bois,
So recently I got money back for damaged LG 34UC88-B, so I was looking for another same resoliution monitor. I`m thinking about getting same model, or maybe I should for new ones or even save money and get flat one?
Any suggestions?

What do you need it for?
Gaming - look for a freesync model... LG have like a billion freesync ultrawide monitors.
Design - get a flat one. Straight line on a curved monitor looks curved, so it will throw you off constantly.
General purpose - get a flat one. If you are not in the center of the viewing field there will be distortion of the image because of the curvature of the screen.
I don't mind curved monitor, but they are only good if you are in one specific location and don't move from it. Otherwise the curve is distorting the image...
LG 34UC88-B was really good monitor, but I see 34UM88C-P is like 200 euros cheaper, bug only 60Hz refresh rate. Im going to try look at flat ones to make my mind. Also I know new models from other brands coming out soon. Don
t mind waiting.
The one thing I would like to add about looking at curved monitors, especially the LG monitors is. The new models have a very pronounced curve to them with a much tighter radius than the older models. I would make sure that I do a real world examination of the monitor before making that final purchase.
Wait for freesync 2 options imo
What are you planning on using the monitor for? We can't make good suggestions if we don't know the primary purpose.
Mainly gaming. Freesync is a must. No stores around me have flat ultrawide monitors on display so I can`t really judge them and want opinions of others who are using them or saw it.
How is the monitor?
I've been considering an ultrawide myself, but I'm thinking about just getting 2 x 16:9 monitors, I mean it's cheaper and there's more pixels. I mean I love the idea of an ultrawide, but even though money isn't a major issue, IDK if I can justify spending the difference.
That's just my personal opinion though, BUT I've also never used one so it could be just as good as two monitors. Hence why I'm asking what it's like? Would you recommend?
I could never could go back to 16:9. I was using old 1080p monitor and needed upgrade for a long time. From image quality to usability it is just much better than 2 16:9 monitors.
That sounds amazing! :D ... Nearly everyone says once you go ultrawide there's no going back..
Size matters. :D
