I recently picked up a new SSD to use as a boot drive and keep a few of my mainly used programs (Chrome) However When i first built my pc, everything, including Windows went onto one HDD with no partitions so i figure ill need to do a new install of windows onto the new drive. My question; is there any easy way to either just delete windows 7 off of the current drive and keep all the data and installed applications and games or would i have to format and reinstall everything?
I have another 2 3TB drives that can be used to temporary store everything in the meantime if that helps with anything.
would having the old drive still labeled as C: cause any issues or cause any lost data? And is there an easy way to just delete windows off that drive?
If you need to migrate programs that you have lost discs for or information you can make a disc image of the old OS drive and load it onto one of the spare hdd's then cut out everything non essential that wont fit onto the ssd re image it and put it on the ssd.
